Protection and Filer Fleeces

Filter Fleece

Grey2Green filter fleece is manufactured using UV stabilised polypropylene. Providing high tensile properties and improved durability. The increased drawing within the fibre manufacturing process re-orientates the molecules within the fibre making it considerably stronger. With the increased molecular orientation and associated higher density it increases mechanical properties and environmental resistance properties that are paramount for good engineering construction methods. It is to be covered within one month after installation. The geotextile is predicted to be durable for more than 25 years in soil temperatures >25°C and is resistant to highly acid and alkaline environments on the basis of a durability assessment.

Protection Fleece

Grey2Green protection fleece is a thick needle punched non-woven geotextile manufactured from 100% virgin polypropylene high tenancy fibres containing 1% active carbon black. Manufactured from a unique blend of high tenancy fibres providing class leading durability. Optimised for maximum strength, performance and UV stability.

Sedum Blankets

Grey2 Green Sedum Blanket

Pre cultivated UK grown vegetation blanket, containing
12 species specifically chosen for extensive green roof
applications Grown on 25 mm substrate base on a
carrier membrane.

Wildflower Blankets

Grey2Green Wildflower Blanket

A pre cultivated UK grown vegetation blanket, containing
38 species specifically chosen to encourage biodiversity
on Extensive, Intensive and Podium roof applications
Grown on 25 mm substrate base on a carrier
membrane

Sedum Plugs

Grey2 Green Sedum Plugs
Pre cultivated propagated plugs, planted directly into the
substrate growing medium.

These succulent plants are drought, wind and frost tolerant and will steadily colonise the roof area, to providing an even vegetative cover over time.

Wildflower Plugs

Grey2 Green Wildflower Plugs
Pre cultivated propagated plug plants planted directly
into the substrate.

The biodiverse plug plants are seeded and grown with a wide range of native wildflower species suited to the harsh Green Roof environment Installed and maintained correctly, plants will colonise the roof area.

Wildflower Seed Mix

A specifically chosen and proven seed mix containing 36
species, to encourage Biodiversity on Extensive,
Intensive and Podium Roof applications This mix can be
used throughout the UK, but has been designed to mimic
the natural plant life that occurs in the South East of
England, specifically in the London area.

Cast at 3 g/m 2 on to 75 150 mm contoured
Grey 2 Green Biodiverse growing medium
Seeds are best sown in the late autumn or early spring
months, allowing for sufficient warmth and moisture for
optimum germination conditions.

These native plants are drought, wind and frost tolerant
and will steadily colonize the roof area, to providing an
even vegetative cover over time.
